Loading...The dream of the people of Kishoreganj, the construction of the Narasunda Lake City, is nearing completion. The Narasunda River, which once flowed fiercely through the city, is surrounded by many tales. In an effort to bring these stories to life, this project was initiated around the dying Narasunda River.
As part of the project, five beautifully designed bridges have already enhanced the city’s charm. Two foot over-bridges are also in the final stages of construction. Various events are frequently being held near the Independence Square, close to these stunning bridges in Akhrabazar. A walking path along the river, from Guru Dayal Government College to Gourangbazar Bridge, has provided the residents of the city with a refreshing spot for both body and mind. In addition, a park is under construction by the riverside near the Gourangbazar Bridge.
Enhancements for Leisure and Recreation:
This development will provide the city’s residents with additional recreational joy. The area around the Guru Dayal College Pond on the northern side of Narasunda, along with the floating open stage and observation tower, is already bustling with people. The river’s water level has risen slightly due to the rain, making the area even more beautiful and attractive. This area offers all kinds of amenities, including a watch tower, speed boats, breathtaking views, and the nearby magnificent Guru Dayal College.
How to Visit:
You can travel to Kishoreganj by train or bus from Dhaka. Traveling by train is recommended; a seat in the Shovon Chair costs 150 BDT, while a seat in the First Chair costs 200 BDT. After getting off at the station, head straight to Guru Dayal College. To reach Guru Dayal College, it will cost around 100-150 BDT. From there, it’s just a short walk to Narasunda Lake City.
