Ulpur Zamindar Bari is located in Ulpur village, about 8 km north of the Gopalganj district headquarters. It is a remarkable witness to the history of ancient Bengal. Although the zamindari system has faded into history, the buildings constructed by the zamindars still stand proudly as witnesses to the past. Several large mansions, some of which are centuries-old, are still present in the village. Among them, there are 7-8 two-story buildings.
The buildings constructed by the zamindars are now being used for various purposes, such as the Ulpur Tehsil Office, an old Union Board Office, a health center, a sub-post office, and the former Government Children’s Home.
