Taj Mahal Bangladesh

Taj Mahal Bangladesh, located 10 miles east of the capital Dhaka in Sonargaon, Bangladesh, is an exact replica of the original Taj Mahal (a Mughal monument located in Agra, India). This replica of the Taj Mahal was built so that the poor people of the country, who cannot afford to travel to India to see the original monument, can fulfill their dream of seeing the Taj Mahal right in their own country.

Entry Fee: 100 Taka

My Thoughts on the Ticket Price

However, I initially thought the ticket price was high, but a few days ago, a replica of the Pyramids of Egypt was also built. There, you can see some shooting sets from the Bangladesh Film Studio, ancient props used in films, and if you enter the pyramid, you can view dummy mummified bodies, which will give you an idea of mummies and Egyptian culture. Additionally, there’s a Beghular’s bridal chamber, a cinema hall, and you can also watch Bengali movies with the same ticket.

Location

This is built on an 18-bigha plot of land in Perab Village, Jampur Union, Sonargaon, Narayanganj.

How to Get There

It is located about 3 kilometers inside from the Bostul Asian Highway, passing through Madanpur on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway. Alternatively, you can also take the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway, passing through Kachpur and Rupganj Barpa.
