Nahar Garden – Manikganj

Located about two kilometers from the Golra bus stand on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Kamta village, Fukurhati Union, Saturia upazila of Manikganj, Nahar Garden (Nahar Garden Picnic Spot) is a peaceful, serene picnic spot. Situated on the banks of the Dholeswar River, it offers a tranquil rural environment, free from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by lush greenery and modern amenities.

This garden, with its natural surroundings, is home to nearly three thousand birds of various species, both big and small. Among them are 15 species of pigeons, 20 species of parrots, along with Bajranga, Lovebirds, Cockatiels, Finches, Macaws, Grey Parrots, Amazons, and Rams, including both native and exotic bird species. Additionally, there are nine camels, one emu, and eight peacocks. For children, there is a large children’s park. The garden also houses three small and large monkeys, as well as twelve deer. Surrounding the garden is a lush green environment with thousands of trees, both native and foreign. There are also four small and large ponds, along with a Titanic ship replica.

This beautiful and popular park is open for picnics, but anyone can visit for recreational purposes as well. The entrance fee is 20 Taka. For picnics or any other events, there are seven picnic spots available for booking: Bukan Villa, Titanic Villa, VIP Bangla, Palki Cottage, Fountain Cottage, Park Cottage, and Garden Cottage. Depending on the number of people and the time, these spots can be rented for between 6,000 to 30,000 Taka.

Though there is no accommodation available, if a picnic spot is booked, organizers can arrange overnight stays.
