The mighty Padma is not always destructive. It also reveals a serene, soothing, and magical side. Travelers flock to
the beautiful chars of the Padma in Faridpur to enjoy the gentle autumn breeze and spend an entire day surrounded by
nature and joy. After wandering for hours through the quiet Kash flower fields of this uninhabited island, friends
once again float on the river at dusk to enjoy the tranquil beauty.
In the remote Padma Char of North Channel Union, locally known as Village 38 Dag, friends gather after lunch to enjoy
an afternoon of songs, rhymes, poetry, and jokes. The peaceful open sky along the Padma is the perfect setting for an
entire evening of laughter and pure happiness.
As the sun begins to set, the group embarks on a boat ride back toward their destination. Watching the sunset
(Padma Chare Surjasto) over the vast river and the gentle twilight removes the monotony of daily life.
With hearts full of calm and hope, everyone returns home at night, carrying the promise of beautiful days ahead.

Gopalganj, Barishal, Khulna, or Jashore can also drop you at Faridpur.
After reaching the Faridpur bus stand, take an auto-rickshaw to Padma’s Char. The fare is approximately BDT 20.
