Sippi Arsuang is located in Rangachari, a remote area on the eastern edge of Bandarban district in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, bordering India. It is the 10th highest peak in Bangladesh. Its height is 2939 feet.
Its name is different in different tribal languages. The Bum people are called Sippy, the Tanchangaras are called Rametang, the Marmaras are called Ramatang, and the Pankhoyaras are called Arsuang – which means the crest of the rooster. Apart from this, it is called by many names including Ramjum.
Sippy is the southernmost peak (left side) of the three peaks that can be seen from Sippy Para. The middle one is Arsuang. The right one has no name. Some also call the survival of the South Sippy Arsuang. However, whatever the name, this mountain is known to us as Sippy Arsuang.
Altogether it takes eight hours to get to Sippy. There used to be a British camp here. On the way to Roninpara, you have to go down a steep hill, from which you can see Sippy. The beauty of the hills extending from the top of Sippi to the surrounding area can be seen in the mind.
Route plan to Sippy Arsuang
Since only mountain summit is the main goal, it is better not to go in the rainy season. It is best to go between November and March. There are three ways to get to this hill. You can go through any one and come back with the other.
Bandarban – Roangchhari – Paikshang Para – Ronin Para – Sippy.
Most go this way. This path is familiar and a little easier. From Bandarban you have to go to Roangchhari first. It will take about 3 hours to reach Paikhyang from Roangchhari. It will take about 2.40 hours from Paikshang Para to Ronin Para. It will take about 4 hours to reach Sippy Chura from Roninpara.

From Bandarban you have to go to Roangchhari first. It will take about 1.30 hours to reach Bangchhari from Roangchhari through the Forest Office. 10 minutes walk from Bangchhari Para to Bangchhari Bazar. 15 minutes from Bangchhari Bazar to Anjai Para. About 1.40 hours from Anjai Para to Lungline Para. About 1.40 hours from Lungline Para to Tarracha Para. Prateka Karbari Para is about 1 hour from Tarracha Para. It is about 3 hours from Prateka Karbari Para to Puran Phangpuri Para. Sippy Para is about 30 minutes from Old Phangpuri Para. It will take about 1.40 hours to reach the top of Sippy hill from Sippy Para.

From Bandarban you have to go to Ruma Bazar first. You can go by bus or moon car. From Ruma Bazar you have to go to Moon Naiyam Para.

Non-AC fare from Dhaka to Bandarban is Tk. 620. AC 750-950 taka. From Dhaka there are many buses including Shyamoli, St. Martins, Saudia, BRTC, Dolphin. You can go to Bandarban by bus from Chittagong. Eastern and Eastern buses run from Bahaddarhat. Rent 110 taka.
How to go to Sippy Arsuang?
Distance from Bandarban to Roangchhari is 19 km. You can go from Bandarban city by bus or CNG. 60 per bus. Buses leave every hour from 8 am to 5 pm. It will take about 1.30 hours. CNG can seat 5 people. However, if five people sit down, the two of them will have to cross some places by walking twice due to the hilly and low roads. The rent will be 500-600 taka. It will take about 1 hour.
Guide:
The guide should be taken from Rangachari. There are no guides like Ruma or Thanchi. It’s better to communicate earlier. Once Ronin is laid, you have to take a guide from this place for 1 day on the day of Sippy Summit. And when Sippy is laid, you can take a guide from Sippipara for the summit. In Bandarban town, there are food hotels in Roangchhari and Ruma Bazar. Indigenous people house in the mountains, You have to cook on your own and eat . Oil, spices, potatoes and onions should be taken away.
