It is located at Baklai Para in Thanchi upazila of Bandarban district. The beautiful Baklai Waterfall is probably the tallest waterfall in the country. 2 km from Baklai village deep in the mountains of Bandarban. Located in the middle of this waterfall is about 360 feet high. On the way from Keokradong to Tajingdong, you can take a beautiful view of this waterfall. On the way, you will be mesmerized by the eye-catching Baklai waterfalls as you will be greeted by small hilly rivers.
Well known for trekking camping for many years, there is an army camp near Baklai, which is a safe place for adventurers. If you want to see this magnificent waterfall, you have to keep it in your hand for five to seven days. But how long it will take depends on your walk. You can visit this waterfall from Thanchi and Ruma.

How to get there:
As Baklai Jharna is located in Thanchi, you have to reach Bandarban first. There may be no direct Bandarban bus from any district other than Dhaka. Then you have to come to Chittagong first and then go to Bandarban. Traveling from Dhaka to Bandarban by non AC bus will cost around Tk. 620 / -. These buses usually leave at night but there are also buses at other times. It will take about 7 hours to reach Bandarban by road from Dhaka. For the bus you will get buses of Shyamoli, Unique, Dolphin, Saudia etc.
From Bandarban, you can reach Thanchi, which is about 79 km away, by bus or moon car in about four and a half hours. It will take a few hours to reach Baklai Jharna from Thanchi Bazar and during this time you will have to cross several neighborhoods like: Tutangpara, Boarding Headmanpara, Kaitanpara etc. Depending on the route, you can find Baklai Jhiri and some small and medium sized fountains in between. You can cross them and reach the foot of Baklai waterfall, you can stand there, you can dive into the water or you can climb to the top of the waterfall. If you want to get up, it will take about an hour.
